Rebonjour...Hello again!
Bonne chance!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well,
here we are, summer is nearing its end, August is already upon us. For many of you, this month represents training camps.
Another chance to go out there and showcase your talents, prove your worth as a team member. This also means that the
expectations of all coaches will be in full alert. So, vacation time is over. No more sweet treats, no more video games...now
is the time to set yourself to work and get ready for the challenges ahead. Nothing too complicated or extreme is expected
of course. Simply improving our cardio and some light exercices to help re-acquaint our muscles to ready ourselves for the
demands to come. Don't forget...healthy foods, moderate exercise and good rest, all that you need for a great season
ahead. Good luck!

Bon hockey!

Always Stay Busy!!
Often enough i'll see a team practice and there will be no goalie coach, which means the goalies will be used mostly for
forward drills and practice. Not the best situation for you to learn, but regardless, try to take advantage of the ice time
you have available. While your teammates are doing their drills that do not involve you goalies, move to the side and
get into a routine of doing basic movement drills (ie...shuffles/t-push/b-fly recovery/b-fly slide, etc). Just because no
goalie coach is present to tell you what to do, that doesn't mean you should waste valuable time for practice. Repeating these
movements will only make you better and more comfortable. Once you get to work with a goalie coach, then you will be able
to get corrections done and work on specific situation drills. So next time you're out there, keep busy. Remember...practice
makes perfect ; )

A Winner's Attitude
"Today, I develop a winner's attitude. By adopting a positive attitude focused on success, I
can bring energy and determination to all of my projects I undertake. Winners want to win. Winners know that in the long run,
with work and practice, they will win. Failure has no place in a winner's world. Winners may lose an occasional game, of course,
but they use that opportunity to learn and to become wiser and even more skillful. Winners use all the lessons they learn
to help them win even more. Today, I adopt a winner's attitude. I know that I can come
out on top and I know that eventually, my efforts will be rewarded. I look straight ahead and I walk confidently into the
future. I use my inspiration and all my talent to succeed." - Read from an inspirational book.
